SheetTrail privacy policy

Effective 2026-11-02. This policy covers the SheetTrail Google Sheets add-on, this website and the SheetTrail license service, operated by Level 8 LLC ("we").

Google permissions we request

Scope	Why
spreadsheets.currentonly	Read formulas and values of the spreadsheet you have open to build the trace and audit, and, only when you click Export or Banker colours, add an audit sheet or change font colours in that spreadsheet.
script.container.ui	Show the SheetTrail sidebar and menu inside Google Sheets.
userinfo.email	Read your Google account email address so we can check whether it has a SheetTrail Pro subscription.

SheetTrail cannot open your other files, your Google Drive, Gmail or Calendar.

Spreadsheet data

Formulas and cell values are read by the add-on and processed inside your browser session. They are not transmitted to, stored on or logged by our servers, and we never sell, share or use them for advertising or to train AI models.

Data we do store

License records: your email address, Stripe customer and subscription IDs, subscription status, plan and renewal date. We use these only to turn Pro features on and off.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy
Our license service runs on Cloudflare Workers. Standard request logs (IP address, time) may be kept by Cloudflare for up to 30 days for security.

Google API Services User Data Policy

SheetTrail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

License records are kept while your subscription is active and for up to 24 months afterwards for tax and accounting records. Email level8realestate@gmail.com to have your record deleted sooner. Uninstalling the add-on stops all access to your spreadsheets immediately.
